September Wrapup

This month of books was really disappointing, most books I rated 3 stars or less, except for two amazing books.

Everything in the book that was happening wasn't very descriptive and felt like the little things and the days went by quickly without anything happening in those days. Overall, this was another book I had extremely high expectations and ended up leaving me feeling disappointed. Read my full review here!

I was left with one question and that was why the heck is this book titled 'The Looking Glass?' I kept waiting for something actually whimsical to happen in this book and it just never happened. It was a letdown.  Read my full review here!

I had no intention of reading this book, but I'm so glad I did! It was a fast paced thriller and it kept me interested, so much that I read this book in less then 3 hours. Read my full review here!

Some of the writing in this book is really bad. This next line comes directly from the book."It was good. It tasted maple-y. I like maple." That drove me insane. Once the plot in the book got going it was interesting and it kept me invested. I just wish the writing was better.and pulled away from the interesting plot. The characters in this book are kind of rude and act more like jerks. The story/plot is a really cool idea, but I feel like it could've been told better. I knew there going to be a love triangle, but it was just kind of boring. This book was good enough for me to want to read the next books, but I just wish the story had been written better.

This book was nowhere near as cute as the first book.  I don't know what to make of this trilogy, it's cute, but in someways it makes me uncomfortable and want things to just work out for the characters.

This book was not what I expecting, it had a darker undertone to it. Some of the humor in this book made me laugh out loud. I did think that some of the scenes could have been written better or painted a more vivid picture of what was happening in some parts of the book.

Nothing worthwhile really happened in this book until the last 50 pages, and it was interesting, but not worth the wait. It seems like most trends in YA books now are a friendship between three girls and I'm already tired of that troupe. Overall, this book was an okay read, but I expected more.

The first half of this book was extremely boring and I was ecstatic when something worthwhile actually started happening! After exciting stuff finally started happening it was definitely worth the wait and the plot twists were completely unpredictable.

I cannot describe the love I feel for this book and how much I enjoyed! I tried reading it a few months ago and wasn't feeling it, but I'm so glad I gave it another choice.

I'd heard a lot of good things about this little book, and as cute as the little guy is on the front, it just wasn't that good I thought. I was expecting more.

Save the Date by Morgan Matson

This book got 2 stars only because of the gorgeous cover, other then that, this book made me uncomfortable with the situations and I'd didn't have any concern or feelings towards any of the characters.

That's a wrap on September! What books did you read in September? What was your favorite?
