We Regret to Inform You by Ariel Kaplan Review

I should've learned by now that if I'm not enjoying a book, I don't have to finish it, no one will judge for it for.

In this first pages of this book, we find out that our main character's car has broken down and also found out that our main character Mischa and her mom do not have a lot of money, after her mom using most of her money to get Mischa in school for honor students. Mischa applies to schools and eventually finds out that every single school rejected her and she knows that she deserves a spot at one of those schools. Mischa investigates and finds out that someone hacked her transcript.

By reading the synopsis for this book, I thought it was going to be a book about dealing with rejection, but no it turns out there's someone who hacked her transcript and recommendation letters. It also turns out that there's a secret group of hackers in the school that help Mischa figure out who did this to her.

The romance in this book was unnecessary, and felt rushed when it finally did happen. I just kept waiting for something exciting to happen in this book, revolving around getting into college.

Mischa lying to her mom made me extremely uncomfortable, and every time she lied to her mom it made my stomach turn. I find out it hard to believe that someone who lie to their mom for that long about something so important.

I need to start DNF'ing books if they're not enjoyable, just because I start a book and put it on my Goodreads, doesn't mean I have to finish it.
