The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi ★ ★ I still have no clue what the main plot of this book, and I have no idea why it's called Gilded Wolves. This was one of my most anticipated reads for January, and I was thrilled to receive an ARC of it. It was disappointing to say the least, which seemed to be how all my reads have been in January. It was a relief when I finally finished this book. It seems like the author was trying so hard to not make to not make this book like Six of Crows, that the more she tried not to, the more the book seemed to be like SoC. At throughout almost the entire book, I had no clue what was happening and nothing was vividly painting a picture of who was doing what and why. I do love the cover, but it doesn't really make any sense with why the title is what it is and why the cover is what it is. I just wanted to love this book so badly, and it had such potential, but ultimately, it let me down.

Dumplin' Movie   .................................................................................................... Dumplin' Book I read Dumplin' in June of 2018, and honestly I just liked Millie and Bo, so I was interested to see those two.  The main plot seemed to movie just a little too fast, I wanted there to be more of the girls getting ready and encouraging one another more. I felt like Willowdean was just plain rude to Millie in some the scenes, especially how she said at the beginning, about how at least she wasn't clueless like Millie, who apparently didn't know she was fat. She judges others and then tells people to not judge her for being fat, it's kind of a double standard. She judges other girls for being skinny, when that is their choice, not all girls that are skinny are rude and they don't deserved to body shamed, that goes for all of the girls in this book. Ellen and Willowdean's falling out only lasted a day, ...
