December Wrapup!

December was a rocky month for reading, I was only able to read five books, but three of them were four star reads!

Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott

I received this book in a book subscription box, and it just made the whole reading experience even more magical!

The Last Best Story by Maggie Lehrman

This book was just a weird mashup of lots of little book ideas and it did not work out well. One character was acting like a jerk and people didn't even seem to care.

Notes from My Captivity by Kathy Parks

This book seemed to just be a big case of Stockholm Syndrome, and that is not something I want to support or read about in a fictional book.

A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi

I had no clue what this book was about going in, and I just have to say it was an amazing read. The way Mafi writes is just so poetic and I love it!

Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen McManus

I was lucky enough to receive an advanced hardback of this book before it was published and be in a blog tour, and I absolutely loved this mystery book, which is not usually a genre I tend to enjoy, but this book was an exception!

Now, Zora must team up with her cousin Artemis—an annoying self-proclaimed Addamsville historian—to clear her name. But with a popular ghost-hunting television show riling up the townspeople, almost no support from her family and friends, and rumors spinning out of control, things aren’t looking good.
