Disappointing Books of 2018

Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
I absolutely love Strange the Dreamer, and I couldn't wait for Muse of Nightmares. Unfortunately, I was letdown. It just seemed like there wasn't any actual plot in this book. There was also a lot of other stuff in this book that I wasn't expecting, so much terror and abuse.

Save the Date by Morgan Matson
I probably should've guessed that I wouldn't like this book, seeing as I've never really loved any of Matson's other books. I can't really enjoy a book when everything is going wrong, and the romance in this book seemed thrown in last minute.

Fawkes by Nadine Brandes
This was a historical fantasy fiction book, which I didn't know before starting to read this book. It didn't seem to work well in this book setting. The fight scenes in this book weren't vividly shown in the book nor were any other scenes.

Always and Forever, Lara Jean (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #3)
Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
I kept waiting for something to happen, but it never did. It would have worked better to just leave the series as a duology, this book just left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak
I think this was on my most anticipated reads for fall of 2018, and I have to say, it was very disappointing. I think the way Zusak writes is trying so hard to poetic, it's sometimes hard to figure out the actual meaning of the metaphor.

Wildcard by Marie Lu
I loved Warcross and tried extremely hard to get an ARC of this book, but I ended up waiting until it was released. To say I was disappointed would a understatement, I wanted so badly to love this book but the entire book just seemed off.

Now Entering Addamsville by Francesca Zappia ARC Review

Now Entering Addamville by Francesca Zappia ★★ ★ Zora Novak has been framed.
