This month of books was really disappointing, most books I rated 3 stars or less, except for two amazing books. ............................................................................................................................................ Sea Witch by Sarah Henning ★ ★ ★ Everything in the book that was happening wasn't very descriptive and felt like the little things and the days went by quickly without anything happening in those days. Overall, this was another book I had extremely high expectations and ended up leaving me feeling disappointed. Wildcard by Marie Lu ★ ★ ★ This book was one of my most anticipated reads for the second half of 2018,  and it had a slow start for about the first 150 pages, but after that everything picked up. I enjoyed the second half, with was filled with plot twists, action and Emika with Hideo. The plot twists in this book were written extremely well and Marie Lu did an amazing job of not letting you anywhere was going to happen next until it already has. I have to admit, I had forgotten some of the characters names and who they were, which made the book confusing with the Phoenix Riders and the new people we were introduced to. When were introduced to everyone in the Blackcoats, it was a lot too take in, a little bit too much. It would've made more sense reading this book immediately after reading  Warcross , and would've kept me more interested in the story. Sasuke and the flashbacks were a crucial part to actually having feelings for this character we just me...

We Regret to Inform You by Ariel Kaplan ★ ★ I should've learned by now that if I'm not enjoying a book, I don't have to finish it, no one will judge for it for. In this first pages of this book, we find out that our main character's car has broken down and also found out that our main character Mischa and her mom do not have a lot of money, after her mom using most of her money to get Mischa in school for honor students. Mischa applies to schools and eventually finds out that every single school rejected her and she knows that she deserves a spot at one of those schools. Mischa investigates and finds out that someone hacked her transcript.  By reading the synopsis for this book, I thought it was going to be a book about dealing with rejection, but no it turns out there's someone who hacked her transcript and recommendation letters. It also turns out that there's a secret group of hackers in the school that help Mischa figure out who did this to her....

The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas ★ ★ ★ ★ I really didn't think I would like this book. It was extremely well written and easily got me out of my reading slump. I don't know how to describe this book, but it's a fast paced read, and I read it in one sitting. Kara Thomas writes mystery/thriller books with such intrigue in the story that makes you not want to step away from the book. Monica and Ginny's slow forming friendship was a nice addition to the story. The last few pages with how the accident with Ginny's dad was extremely important and I literally did not think that would've ever had anything to do with the two cheerleaders. One of the most important parts to a thriller book that it's always interesting and you have no clue what's going to happen next or who you'll find out was involved.
