May Wrapup

.................................................................................................................................................

I read some amazing books this past May and a few I didn't love, but overall it was a great month for reading!

I read this book within 2 hours and I loved every single aspect of this book. I love how Johnson writes Stevie's anxiety, it's just written as she doesn't tell you she has anxiety, she shows it and Johnson shows it flawlessly.

The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson

After I finished Truly Devious, I was extremely glad to have the sequel on hand and I also finished this book within a few hours. I was distraught at the end of The Vanishing Stair and I cannot wait for the last book in amazing series.

All Our Broken Pieces by L.D. Crichton

I was apart of an amazing blog tour for this book that deals with characters dealing with OCD and loss of family members and it was just a really interesting way to show how different authors show OCD in writing.

With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo

This book is a piece of art and I loved the positive relationships that all the characters had. I was lucky enough to meet Elizabeth Acevedo last weekend at BookCon and get my copy signed and tell her how much I adored her books.

This was a cute book about a country singer going on tour, but for me it just fell short. There wasn't anything that really stuck out for me and most of the plot was just the characters touring on a bus. Overall, I just was left wanting more.

Don't Date Rosa Santos by Nina Moreno

I've seen amazing things about this book online and so I decided to check it out. I really enjoyed the story and the relationships, it was a cute book, but nothing else really seemed to happen.

I couldn't have asked for a better 'finale' to an amazing series. When I finished Legendary, I wasn't sure I would continue the series because it was told from Tella's POV, who I wasn't too fond of, but by the end of Finale, she was definitely my favorite character. Such a great ending book and I'm sad it's over.

Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett
This was a really cute book, was romance with just enough of a sub-plot to keep you interested. It seems like mystery really seems to be my genre lately. There were a few aspects of the book that annoyed me with the way Birdie's character was written with her being homeschooled. Overall, it was a cute book!

Thanks for reading! What did you read this past month?

Now Entering Addamsville by Francesca Zappia ARC Review
