April Wrap-up

Sadly, April was a weird month for books. I read one 4 star read, but the rest of the books were 3 stars or lower.

Right after I finished this book, I immediately rated in 4 stars, but after some thinking I lowered it to 3 stars. This was one of those books that I really thought I would love, and I did enjoy the book, but I just didn't seem to be excited to read it as I am with other books. Overall, I liked this book, I just wished it'd been more of an interesting read.

This book was a hard book to read, and I guess that's what the author was going for, but it just was never ending. I wish it hadn't started out the way it did, which completely spoiled the entire story. It felt like the only plot twist in the book was given away immediately. I don't really know what I was expecting from this book going in, but I finished the book feeling blah.

I've heard amazing things about this book series, but I'm sad to say it disappointed me greatly. Reading this book felt like a chore and while I was reading it.

I read this book in less then two hours, but I think I read it thinking something big would eventually happen. After reading this book, I'm not sure adding another three books to the Shatter Me series was a good idea. I liked where the third book in the original series left off. I don't know, I have a lot of mixed emotions, but I did appreciate Kenji's relationship advice and his friendship with both Juliette and Warner.

This was such a cute and quick read! It hardly felt like a middle-grade, the writing was amazing, which isn't hard to believe considering Schwab's continuously amazing writing. I adored every single aspect of this book and I cannot wait for Tunnel of Bones!

....................................................................................................................................................

All I wanted was a cute book about royalty, but I was sorely disappointed. The families in this, were just messed up, especially Daisy's family, with them being okay with a lot of the stuff that happened. The guys in this all acted like jerks and I didn't understand it. Overall, I felt disappointed and wasn't happy with where the book left off.

....................................................................................................................................................

I had really high hopes for this book, but it didn't really seem to grab my attention. The whole book happens over a course of a few days, but nothing really happens in the book except for the two kids breaking their parents rules.

....................................................................................................................................................

This book was definitely made to make you feel something and let you know how hard it is to forgive and have a relationship with someone who battles with addiction. It was amazing to see how the author worked the main plot of the story along with everything else that happened with Harley's life.
