The Darkest Legacy by Alexandra Bracken Review

37688046

This book picks about 5 years after In The Afterlight. Zu is now 17, and has become the spokesperson for the government, helping give Psi kids the same rights as everyone else. She is accused of committing an act, she definitely didn't do, she is forced to go on the run once again, only this time with strangers. Zu finds herself on the run with two not very trusty worthy allies, Roman and Priyanka. As Zu travels, she grows closer to people she knows she shouldn't trust, meanwhile uncovering even darker things happening right underneath the government's watchful eye. Zu must again fight against forces who try to make Psi run back into hiding and save her friends.

Roman, whom I love, and his and Priyanka's friendship, is adorable. I liked the quips between the three and especially when Liam entered the story. I liked how the relationship with Zu and Roman didn't happen until 400 or so pages into the book, it kept you hoping for something to happen between the two.

I liked the story line of them starting off by trying to clear Zu's name and ending up having to find Liam and Ruby. I was thrilled to see Liam finally appear the the story! Vida, Chubs and Zu's relationship is just extremely heart- warming. I also enjoyed the flip between timelines, they were important to the story.

One thing, I did not like was the ending, it felt rushed and I didn't understand why Roman was staying back with Lana, it wasn't conveyed very well. I wanted Roman and Zu's reunion to be more joyous, even though they were only apart two weeks.

I'm honestly read sad this book is over, and as must I didn't enjoy the other books in this world, I'm disappointed I won't get to see anything else.

Now Entering Addamsville by Francesca Zappia ARC Review

Now Entering Addamville by Francesca Zappia ★★ ★ Zora Novak has been framed. When someone burns down the home of the school janitor and he dies in the blaze, everyone in Addamsville, Indiana, points a finger at Zora. Never mind that Zora has been on the straight and narrow since her father was thrown in jail. With everyone looking for evidence against her, her only choice is to uncover the identity of the real killer. There’s one big problem—Zora has no leads. No one does. Addamsville has a history of tragedy, and thirty years ago a similar string of fires left several townspeople dead. The arsonist was never caught. Now, Zora must team up with her cousin Artemis—an annoying self-proclaimed Addamsville historian—to clear her name. But with a popular ghost-hunting television show riling up the townspeople, almost no support from her family and friends, and rumors spinning out of control, things aren’t looking good. Zora will have to read between the lines of Addamsville’s...
