I should've known better then to get my hopes up about a book with the main character's name being Shadow.
When I was at BookCon last year, I was thrilled to get a copy of this book, because I had already heard such amazing things about it, but it majorly disappointed me.
There wasn't any real story goal happening, it was slow paced and the things that were happening in this slow amount of time did not matter or help the plot along.
Our characters were as dry as they come and didn't have any chemistry together, so it didn't really seem to work with me.
Overall, I think I need to take a break from De La Cruz's works, I keep getting my hopes up at the description of the book, but that's never what it actually is inside.
