August Wrap-up!

This book is definitely unlike any other book I've read before, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It had potential, but it seemed to lose it throughout the book.

House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig

Reading this book was so incredibly magical, yet at the same time incredibly spooky and gory, but it worked together so well. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and I enjoyed it immensely!

A Treason of Thorns by Laura E. Weymouth

When I picked this book up at BookCon, it said perfect for fans of Downton Abbey and I knew I had to have it and that I would love it, luckily I was right. Words cannot describe how intriguing this book was and how gorgeously this authors writes, but please go check out this amazing book!

The Beautiful by Renée Ahdieh

I had high hopes for this book, even though I'm not usually one for vampires, this book looked like it could change my perspective on that, unfortunately, I was wrong. The way this book was written, it did not seem like a book set in the past, and the vampires were hardly in it. It just didn't reach the mark for me.

Hello Girls by Brittany Cavallaro and Emily Henry

I love Callavaro's A Study in Charlotte series, so I went into this series expecting the same amount of intrigue and character development, but it all seemed to fall short. This book stays on that fine line of fiction actually being capable of happening, and in this book it didn't felt all too crazy for me to actually picture it.

Now Entering Addamsville by Francesca Zappia ARC Review

Now Entering Addamville by Francesca Zappia ★★ ★ Zora Novak has been framed. When someone burns down the home of the school janitor and he dies in the blaze, everyone in Addamsville, Indiana, points a finger at Zora. Never mind that Zora has been on the straight and narrow since her father was thrown in jail. With everyone looking for evidence against her, her only choice is to uncover the identity of the real killer. There’s one big problem—Zora has no leads. No one does. Addamsville has a history of tragedy, and thirty years ago a similar string of fires left several townspeople dead. The arsonist was never caught. Now, Zora must team up with her cousin Artemis—an annoying self-proclaimed Addamsville historian—to clear her name. But with a popular ghost-hunting television show riling up the townspeople, almost no support from her family and friends, and rumors spinning out of control, things aren’t looking good. Zora will have to read between the lines of Addamsville’s
