January Wrap-up!

This was definitely a month where more then half my reads were ARCs (even though there were tons of new releases this month) and I have to say, some of them disappointed me. I did read a few books that I adored.

The whole reason I picked this book up was because the book description exactly
"Maddie still really wants to kill Logan. But she has to save him first." and was not was the actual book was about. Maddie only hated Logan, she never wanted to kill him. Overall, I felt deceived by the title and wanted more from the book.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book from the publisher. This was definitely a different take on mental illness. When you deal with schizophrenia in books, they usually don't actual have the words that some people struggle with. Read my full review here!

I still have no clue what the main plot of this book and I have no idea why it's called Gilded Wolves. This was one of my most anticipated reads for January, and I was thrilled to receive an ARC. It was disappointing, and I just wished it had been more enjoyable.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and I loved it! It was an amazing sequel to Ash Princess, and I cannot wait for Ember Queen, hopefully it was as wonderful as Lady Smoke.

I had absolutely no clue what this book was about, and it was such a weird plot-line. Even though the premise of the story threw me for a loop, I enjoyed some parts of the book.

I didn't love the first book in this series, but this the synopsis for this book intrigued me, but unfortunately, this book let me know. It seemed like the actual parts of the plot happened too fast, and I just wanted main part of story to have a slow flow to it, and it just didn't.

I had tried and tried to start this book, but I just could not get into it, but this time I finally got into it and it was amazing! It had a slow start but it was definitely worth it, and I cannot wait to dive into the next book!

I really wanted to like this book, but it just didn't work out. It seemed like all the relationships in this book weren't healthy, it just felt a little bit unrealistic for a contemporary.

I just adored about everything in this book, even the stupid things. This was probably my most anticipated read for January and it did not disappoint!
