November Wrap-up

Interesting fantasy world, but just a little bit predictable. Overall, it was a fun enjoyable fantasy read. I'll definitely read the next book, if there is one.

This author was trying so much to make the sentences sound eloquent, but it ended up just looking just she was trying too hard. The aura part of this book just seemed like a gimmick that was supposed to make this book stand out against all the other thriller mystery books, but it ended up just frustrating me.

While reading, I realized I had to separate this book and the musical, because this book was turning something I adored, into something that made me cringe. I think I would much rather see the musical or listen to the soundtrack then the book, it just didn't work this time around.

I had such high hopes for this book, I'd heard amazing things about it, but it was a disappointment. It was predictable, and all the characters were a bit much.

Bridge of Clay
I was so excited about this book....and it disappointed me just like all of the other books I read in November. The way Zusak writes is sometimes very hard to understand, and a lot of the times I have no clue what was happening.

November was not a good month for me reading wise, all the books just disappointed me. Did you read any bad books this month? If so, tell me in the comments below!

Books I've Judged by Their Covers

Charlotte Holmes Series by Brittany Cavallaro This series was on display at my library and I picked up the first book, not only is the cover beautiful but the books are intriguing, have interesting characters and mysteries. .................................................................................................................................................... The Sun is Also a Star and Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon These books are gorgeous and as soon as I finished reading them, I immediately wanted copies for myself, if even only to display. I loved both books, they were such interesting takes on contemporary. .................................................................................................................................................... To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo This cover is to die for, the color of the background is gorgeous. I really enjoyed the book, I didn't know, but it was a modern retell...
