Turtles All The Way Down by John Green and Made You Up by Francesca Zappia

Both of these books deal with mental illness, and most times writing mental illnesses is really tough, but these two authors got it right.

2. Best Sequel You've Read So Far in 2018?

Case for Jamie by Brittany Cavallaro

I absolutely loved this sequel! It picked up a couple months after The Last of August and the author did an amazing job of tying up the loose ends in the second book.

 Fawkes by Nadine Brandes

I've heard such amazing things about this book and I want to read so badly! I've requested it at my library, which is on order as of right now so hopefully I can read it soon!

Evermore by Sara Holland

I absolutely loved Everless, I read in one sitting, and I've always loved royal fiction or any book with royalty of any kind. Everless ended on a major cliffhanger and I'm just so excited for the second book!

5. Biggest Disappointment?

You Won't Know I'm Gone (The Black Angel Chronicles #2)

You Won't Know I'm Gone by Kristen Orlando

I enjoyed the first book, I hadn't read much spy fiction, the reading the second book made me exhausted! The MC went against every single order or command. I almost didn't finish it, but I absolutely hate DNFing books.

6. Biggest Surprise?

The Circus by Olivia Levez

This book was written in a style I'd never seen before, but worked so perfectly with the story. There were parts of the book where major things happened, and the author showed it happening without saying it, which are the markings of an amazing author.

7. Favorite New Author?

Francesca Zappia

Francesca Zappia is an amazing and talented author, who seems to write to be able to perfectly write and get into the mind of characters with mental illnesses.

8. Newest Fictional Crush?

Miles from Made You Up

Miles is a well written character, and he had background that worked with the plot. He was so sweet to Alex towards the middle of the book to the end.

9. Newest Favorite Character?

Liam Gerling from Everless

I loved Liam from the start, preferred him so much more then Roan.  I appreciate when characters have a reason for their actions, which sometimes are not shown.

The ending of this book, just had me in tears, and I had to stop and take a breath before finishing it.

Made You Up by Francesca Zappia

Again, I have Made You Up on this post, but I just loved it immensely. I cried when Alex came to the realization about people and things she thought were real, it broke my heart.

11. Book That Made You Happy?

Evertrue by Brodi Ashton

This was the final book in the Everneath Trilogy, which a vague retelling of Hades and Persephone. The first two books were amazing and the third book did not disappoint.

Death Cure by James Dasher

SPOILERS

This is the only book to movie adaption I've seen so far this year. It was nothing like the book, but did the story justice. Newt's death, it was equally as sad as the book and made me bawl like crazy, which means Thomas Brodie - Sangster did an fantastic job portraying Newt.

Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian and Turtles All The Way Down by John Green

These covers are GORGEOUS!! No more need be said.Turtles All The Way Down

Hamilton The Revolution

Only true Hamilton fans will appreciate this, but I got this book new for $15, which for me was a steal! The photography in this book is amazing and there are little informational facts on the side about different people in the musical or what each song is about.
